I have been to the doctor and he prescribes me an antibiotic for 7 days but it gets expensive and I get it frequently.

I don’t think I’ve ever had one and I don’t want to make a doctors appointment if its just a yeast infection.

I went to my obgyn for my annual exam and also for infertility, and my pap showed I have bacterial vaginosis. What exactly is it, and is it serious? He did prescribe antibiotics, I was just curious how common this is and what the cause is, and if there are ways to prevent it from returning. Thanks ladies.

My daughter shes taking augmentin antibiotics for 4 days now. It seems like she has a yeast infection because she’s having some discharge and icthing.Is that possible while your on antibiotics for couple of days only?

I have been diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis, but I noticed I have back pain and feels like pressure on my bladder, and I have symptoms of a UTI, which the doctor said that is commom with BV. I have had 3 urine test and they were negative for UTI or kidney infection, but the test for BV was positive. I just wondered if anyone had this before and if you felt back pain or pressure?

I am now treating a bacterial infection…& I really think that I am pregnant, but I keep testing negative on home pregnancy test. I have missed a period and I am experiencing the common symptoms.
I was wondering if anyone knew what could be the problem? Thanks so much.

I have a yeast infection and pregannt. I want to know if there is a way to get rid of it with out taking medication or medicated cremes. Any suggestions?

I’ve apparently had it for a few weeks… at first the doctor diagnosed me with a yeast infection I used the 7 day treatment as directed then today… the 7th day I noticed I was swollen and irritated still and by chance the nurse calls me and tells me I have bacterial vaginosis.
Im pretty mad at them for having me go through a yeast infection treatment needlessly especially during pregnancy .. I’ve had symptoms of pre-term labor with this pregnancy already aside from this… and now hearing this is scaring the crap out of me since its apparent I’ve had it for several weeks untreated.

Im just starting the antibiotics now…..I am aware of what it is but my question is,,,,, did anyone else have this and end up with a pre-term delivery???? How much do I need to be concerned with this? I’ve read up on it even before I got the offical diagnosis since I suspected it while treating myself for a yeast infection.

P.S this is my third pregnancy.
